We have started a charcoal drawing of the masks, using compressed charcoal smeared on paper, and drawing with a pink pearl eraser and using charcoal to add darks - Here's a website with an example http://artcalling.wordpress.com/2012/03/07/drawing-skills-lifting-out-the-lights/ Also, if you want, work out more of your'stitches' drawing - try to make several that use the same images, but are different in feeling and meaning.
